Presenting…Continent Mythbusters

Last month, fifth graders completed their work as “mythbusters” about one of the Earth’s seven continents.  Working in groups of two or three, students interviewed themselves and others to find out what people believed to be true about an assigned continent.  They followed up this data with research, seeking to sort the facts from the myths.

Below is a gallery of their posters, which included maps with inset photographs of important sites, as well as lists of top facts and myths, and bibliographies.  Each group researched, designed, and wrote text for the posters collaboratively. After producing these posters in the Computer Lab, groups presented their findings to the class.
