Guten Morgen, Fourth Graders,

I hope you enjoyed the sunshine yesterday. We tried making ramps for toy cars by experimenting with propping cardboard on our front steps. If you have some toy cars and some cardboard, I’d recommend it as a casual science experiment. Try to get a position that makes the car go farthest without flipping over.

Our class birthday chart is back at school! This means that we’ve missed at least one birthday circle. If we’ve missed yours, let’s talk about during our Google Meet tomorrow afternoon.

Reminders:

  • Check out the LES Get Moving Challenge, if you haven’t already
  • Our next Google Meet will be tomorrow afternoon at 2:00
  • This owl is from an online coloring book I used. Don’t forget that you can share your art with us here!

Hello Fourth Graders!

It was great to see many of you at our first Google Meet yesterday. I was impressed by how well you shared and responded to one another. There were also some frustrating tech glitches, and Mr. Mwangi and I are working to resolve them.

Here are some updates for today:

  • Our next Google Meet will be on Thursday afternoon from 2:00-2:30.
  • There is a new read-aloud video today that is only in Google Classroom.
  • Lily A. has shared a drawing she made recently. If you’d also like to share your art here, have an adult take a photo of it and email it to baker[at]leverettschool.org
  • Scroll down for printable versions of today’s learning activities.

I look forward to seeing you soon!

– Ms. Paglia Baker

April holidays & remote learning

During the month of April there are multiple holidays and family celebrations observed, including (but not limited to) Passover, Holy Thursday, Good Friday, Easter, and Ramadan. As always, the LES staff encourages families to honor their traditions and observances, and not feel required to complete school assignments that may interfere.
