- We started by brainstorming possible rules in small groups. Our list was incredibly long, thorough, and impossible to keep in your head!
- The Constitution is now signed and hanging in Room 118!
- After creating that LONG list, we grouped the rules in 4-5 categories and tried to make them more general. The list got shorter….
- The rules for our Constitution were chosen by secret ballot. The top four rules were then discussed and revised one last time by the class.
Fifth graders recently worked together to create a Class Constitution after reflecting and writing about hopes, dreams, and goals for the new school year. With this thoughtful document in place on our wall and in our minds, we’ve laid a foundation for a positive school year ahead!
